Buono Ventures is an established family office platform with an advisory and private equity investment arm. Founded in 2018 by Francesco de Mojana di Cologna, the platform invests directly and indirectly in public and private equity and debt markets.

Francesco, 55, is an Italian investor with over 30 years of experience across several sectors and geographic areas. He holds a BS from Bocconi University in Milano (1993) and an MBA with honours from Columbia Business School in NY (1997). Francesco is married and a father of three. He is also a keen skier, a long time devoted fan of “the Boss” Bruce Springsteen and a life long passionate supporter of the FC Internazionale of Milano.
After obtaining his MBA, Francesco spent three years with McKinsey & Company in London and was later co-founder and COO of a software company and director of strategic planning for Telefónica Soluciones.
Francesco joined Permira in January 2004 and became a partner in 2012, focusing on digital consumer, leisure and food service sectors, working on and leading several large and successful transactions in Europe, UK, US and Asia.
After retiring from Permira in 2019 Francesco founded Buono Ventures as a family office with an investing platform with an active role in Southern Europe, US, Middle East and Israel (where he serves on the board of Wix, the Nasdaq-listed tech company).
Francesco is also actively engaged in advising and serving on the board of several companies in the healthcare, sport, hospitality, food service and real estate spaces.
During his career Francesco served on the boards of several listed and private companies, supporting and consulting management teams in growing businesses and strengthening core functions (operations, marketing, pricing, supply chain,....).
Francesco has also lectured on private equity investing in both his alma mater: Universita’ Bocconi in Milano and Columbia University in New York.
